Therapy Services
Flourish Counseling Services, LLC provides a range of therapy services and approaches for adults, teens, and tweens. Therapy can help you get “unstuck” from mental and emotional patterns that hold you back from living your life. I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Learn healthy coping strategies and recover motivation, perspective and joy. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
What types of therapy are available?
We customize your treatment plan to your unique needs, which may include:
Treatment for trauma and PTSD:
Learn to manage symptoms of trauma, such as fear and feeling unsafe, feeling detached/isolated, avoiding reminders, anxiety, depression, grief and hopelessness. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) can guide adults and children through the process of healing, allowing you to move toward peace and recovery.
EMDR therapy:
Release emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms through an evidence-based treatment known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Clients often find EMDR a kinder, more gentle approach to healing from traumatic events than other trauma-based treatment approaches.
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT):
Help your child and family overcome the lasting effects of experiencing traumatic events. TF-CBT is specifically designed for adolescents, children, and their families and is proven to be highly effective.
Traditional therapy:
Navigate life transitions, such as life after high school or college, changes to employment status, parenting teenagers or children with special needs, becoming a parent or empty-nester, or caring for older loved ones. Explore your inner self and learn how you thrive, what you need in relationships, and how to maintain or enhance healthy relationships. Therapy is a safe space to process these changes and challenges and work through conflicting emotions.

Can therapy help me?
If you’ve never been to therapy, or have tried it without success, you may not know what to expect from our counseling sessions. I want you to know that:
Therapy isn’t like other relationships. Therapy isn’t a two-way street—I’m not looking for anything from you or waiting to talk about myself. This experience is about your healing, your growth, and your progress.
Therapy is a gift to give yourself. You don’t need to earn the right to go to therapy. You deserve to experience a safe, supportive, non-judgmental opportunity to process your experiences as a human needing support. You’re important, and your thoughts and feelings matter.
Therapy is for the brave. Going to therapy takes tremendous strength and courage. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable. Sometimes it stirs up difficult feelings. I stay with you through all of it, and hold what you aren’t able to hold, just until you are strong enough to take control yourself. If you’re reading this, you have already taken the first step, and that’s a reason to be proud.
